SERVICE - $35 fee*
You are permitted to bring supplies in order to sell items and/or services. Example: You may bring a massage chair to sell chair massage services.
If you are providing a service, you may want to bring another staff person to engage with patrons while you are busy performing the service. You may implement sign-up sheets, time slots, etc. of any kind you see fit to help organize and manage the administering of your services. Hedberg Public Library staff will not fill either of these roles for you.
*Selling and Service participants are required to fill out the "XXX State Vendor Form" emailed to you upon your confirmation of application, and bring a copy to display of your seller's permit and/or any service license required by your profession. Example: food license, massage therapist license, etc. Also, bring your professional liability forms, and payment methods. - All vendors, regardless of their selling status, will be expected to uphold the Hedberg Public Library Public Code of Behavior policy in all interactions, with staff, with patrons, and with other vendors. Respect yourself, Respect others, Respect the space.
- Arrive to Hedberg Public Library no later than 10 a.m. to ensure sufficient set up time. You may begin setup no earlier than 9 a.m. when our doors to the building open. There will be no early entrance.
- You will be provided with a map of the event and your booth location, as well as other necessary materials when you arrive. You will be provided with any of the amenities you requested in your application form that were previously agreed upon.
- We ask that you do NOT take down your booth early (before 3 p.m.) for any reason other than an emergency. We want to ensure that all patrons attending the event have the most well-rounded offerings to learn from and experience while they are here.
We will have a variety of wellness topic categories that vendors are permitted to select from. There will be a maximum of three vendors from any one category. For example: no more than three dental providers, three massage therapists, three physical therapists, etc. This is to allow for a variety of categories and wellness topics to be represented where no one category outweighs others, and to allow citizens to learn about the variety of providers in any one area in order to do their own selecting of preferences.
You may only select one category of your wellness area. If you offer multiple wellness modalities you may still feature them at your booth.
Vendor applications will be accepted and approved on a first come, first serve basis as long as all information and needs are feasible. This ensures fairness amongst applicants.

Good Energy
The instant #1 New York Times bestseller!
A bold new vision for optimizing our health now and in the future
What if depression, anxiety, infertility, insomnia, heart disease, erectile dysfunction, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, dementia, cancer and many other health conditions that torture and shorten our lives actually have the same root cause?
Our ability to prevent and reverse these conditions - and feel incredible today - is under our control and simpler than we think. The key is our metabolic function - the most important and least understood factor in our overall health. As Dr. Casey Means explains in this groundbreaking book, nearly every health problem we face can be explained by how well the cells in our body create and use energy. To live free from frustrating symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to be optimally powered so that they can create “good energy,” the essential fuel that impacts every aspect of our physical and mental wellbeing.
If you are battling minor signals of “bad energy” inside your body, it is often a warning sign that more life-threatening illness may emerge later in life. But here’s the good news: for the first time ever, we can monitor our metabolic health in great detail and learn how to improve it ourselves.
Weaving together cutting-edge research and personal stories, as well as groundbreaking data from the health technology company Dr. Means founded, Good Energy offers an essential four-week plan and explains:- The five biomarkers that determine your risk for a deadly disease.
- How to use inexpensive tools and technology to “see inside your body” and take action.
- Why dietary philosophies are designed to confuse us, and six lifelong food principles you can implement whether you’re carnivore or vegan.
- The crucial links between sleep, circadian rhythm, and metabolism
- A new framework for exercise focused on building simple movement into everyday activities
- How cold and heat exposure helps build our body’s resilience
- Steps to navigate the medical system to get what you need for optimal health
Good Energy offers a new, cutting-edge understanding of the true cause of illness that until now has remained hidden. It will help you optimize your ability to live well and stay well at every age. -
Better Living Through Birding
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Central Park birder Christian Cooper takes us beyond the viral video that shocked a nation and into a world of avian adventures, global excursions, and the unexpected lessons you can learn from a life spent looking up.
“Wondrous . . . captivating.”—Ed Yong, Pulitzer Prize–winning author of An Immense World
A Washington Post and Chicago Public Library Best Book of the Year • Longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal
Christian Cooper is a self-described “Blerd” (Black nerd), an avid comics fan and expert birder who devotes every spring to gazing upon the migratory birds that stop to rest in Central Park, just a subway ride away from where he lives in New York City. While in the park one morning in May 2020, Cooper was engaged in the birdwatching ritual that had been a part of his life since he was ten years old when what might have been a routine encounter with a dog walker exploded age-old racial tensions. Cooper’s viral video of the incident would send shock waves through the nation.
In Better Living Through Birding, Cooper tells the story of his extraordinary life leading up to the now-infamous incident in Central Park and shows how a life spent looking up at the birds prepared him, in the most uncanny of ways, to be a gay, Black man in America today. From sharpened senses that work just as well at a protest as in a park to what a bird like the Common Grackle can teach us about self-acceptance, Better Living Through Birding exults in the pleasures of a life lived in pursuit of the natural world and invites you to discover them yourself.
Equal parts memoir, travelogue, and primer on the art of birding, this is Cooper’s story of learning to claim and defend space for himself and others like him, from his days at Marvel Comics introducing the first gay storylines to vivid and life-changing birding expeditions through Africa, Australia, the Americas, and the Himalayas. Better Living Through Birding recounts Cooper’s journey through the wonderful world of birds and what they can teach us about life, if only we would look and listen. -
Outlive
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • OVER ONE MILLION COPIES SOLD • A groundbreaking manifesto on living better and longer that challenges the conventional medical thinking on aging and reveals a new approach to preventing chronic disease and extending long-term health, from a visionary physician and leading longevity expert
“One of the most important books you’ll ever read.”—Steven D. Levitt, New York Times bestselling author of Freakonomics
AN ECONOMIST AND BLOOMBERG BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR
Wouldn’t you like to live longer? And better? In this operating manual for longevity, Dr. Peter Attia draws on the latest science to deliver innovative nutritional interventions, techniques for optimizing exercise and sleep, and tools for addressing emotional and mental health.
For all its successes, mainstream medicine has failed to make much progress against the diseases of aging that kill most people: heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and type 2 diabetes. Too often, it intervenes with treatments too late to help, prolonging lifespan at the expense of healthspan, or quality of life. Dr. Attia believes we must replace this outdated framework with a personalized, proactive strategy for longevity, one where we take action now, rather than waiting.
This is not “biohacking,” it’s science: a well-founded strategic and tactical approach to extending lifespan while also improving our physical, cognitive, and emotional health. Dr. Attia’s aim is less to tell you what to do and more to help you learn how to think about long-term health, in order to create the best plan for you as an individual. In Outlive, readers will discover:
• Why the cholesterol test at your annual physical doesn’t tell you enough about your actual risk of dying from a heart attack.
• That you may already suffer from an extremely common yet underdiagnosed liver condition that could be a precursor to the chronic diseases of aging.
• Why exercise is the most potent pro-longevity “drug”—and how to begin training for the “Centenarian Decathlon.”
• Why you should forget about diets, and focus instead on nutritional biochemistry, using technology and data to personalize your eating pattern.
• Why striving for physical health and longevity, but ignoring emotional health, could be the ultimate curse of all.
Aging and longevity are far more malleable than we think; our fate is not set in stone. With the right roadmap, you can plot a different path for your life, one that lets you outlive your genes to make each decade better than the one before. -
Mind Magic
A deep exploration of the neuroscience behind manifestation, with a six-part plan for realizing your dreams
For decades the practice of manifestation has been widely dismissed as self-involved, materialistic pseudoscience. But as neuroscientist and recognized compassion leader Dr. James Doty reveals, manifestation introduces us to different possibilities, and it lays the groundwork for a kinder, better world.
Doty grounds us in the practices that change our brain structures: attention, meditation, visualization, and compassion. This mind magic allows us to move through the world in ways that help us see clearly—reclaiming our agency, realizing our dreams, and reaching out to help others along the path.
Where previous works about manifestation have focused narrowly on outward success and individual benefit, Mind Magic delivers an openhearted call to make manifestation part of a deeper contribution to healing the problems we face today. -
