HPL has several options for library visits and tours. Below are a few definitions that will help you clarify your request and ensure we are matching you to the appropriate resources.
BUILDING TOUR:
You and/or your group come to the library and take a walking tour with a tour guide.
STORYTIME:
Library staff will present a short storytime which may include songs, fingerplays, interactive activities, and more. Details and length of Storytimes are determined on a case-by-case basis.
BOOK TALK:
Library staff will discuss book and reading recommendations for the specified audience.
LIBRARY SKILLS/RESOURCE SHARING:
Library staff will share information and instructions on how to access the library’s free online databases, in-house resources, and more. Details are determined on a case-by-case basis.
COMPUTER/TECH SKILLS:
Library staff will focus on computer and technology skills building. Details are determined on a case-by-case basis.
BOOKMOBILE:
Library staff will bring their mobile library, the HPL Bookmobile, to your organization or event. Bookmobile visits may include the opportunity to check out books, get a library card, and more. Details are determined on a case-by-case basis.
