Bookmobile FAQs
No. Your regular HPL library card will work. If you do not have an HPL library card, you can get one at the library or ask the friendly Bookmobile staff for an application.*
*If a parent is not available to sign for a minor’s library card, the library staff may choose to issue a special Youth Card, which will allow the minor to borrow a maximum of three (3) items in print format only from the Youth Services collection. No fines or fees will accrue on this type of account.
Each cardholder can check out a maximum of 3 books from the Bookmobile. You can still check out materials at the library using assigned limits for those items.
The loan period for all books checked out from the Bookmobile is 3 weeks.
The materials you check out at the library will follow the loan periods for those items.
At this time, only books are available to check out. We have fiction and non-fiction titles for children, teens, and adults - as well as materials in Spanish.
No, reserves are not available on Bookmobile materials - nor will reserved library
materials be delivered by the Bookmobile.
Bookmobile items may be returned directly to the Bookmobile, to the library Main St. location or HPL Express Branch, or to any of the library's remote return locations:
