The Friends of Hedberg Public Library is a non-profit (501c 3) organization that raises money through membership dues, fundraisers, and The Ground Floor, a used book and gift shop located on the lower level. Current Friends members are people just like you who appreciate the library and the many ways it serves our community.

The Friends support the organization’s mission of helping the library provide an extra level of services not possible through the normal operating budget. An elected board of trustees governs the Friends with the support of library staff. Proceeds from their efforts have supported projects to enhance the library and expand the awareness of library programs and services.

Shop at The Ground Floor

The Ground Floor is the coffee shop run by volunteers and operated by the Friends of Hedberg Public Library.

Located in the lower level of the library, the shop offers coffee, snacks, and gift items for readers of all ages as well as used books and magazines received through public donations and library collection discards. Members of the Friends of Hedberg Public Library receive a 20% discount on all gift items purchased at the shop.

All proceeds from The Ground Floor support library programs and services.
