The Hedberg Public Library Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in 1980 and encourages gifts, bequests, and endowments to the library.
Donate money for the purchase of books or other materials.* Choose to donate money to the children's, young adult, or adult collection or allow us to use the gift wherever it is most needed.
* Money may not be designated for specific titles and gifts of magazine subscriptions are not accepted.
Give the gift of cash, which is always welcome, as are gifts of stocks or real estate. The HPL Foundation also accepts items that can be sold, such as art, antiques, or collectibles.
Set up an irrevocable trust with Hedberg Public Library named as beneficiary. You receive interest during your lifetime and know that the gift will be used well after your death.
Make the library an irrevocable beneficiary to an existing life insurance policy.
Ask your legal counsel about assigning the library a percentage of your estate when preparing or revising your will. Or make a bequest of a certain monetary amount or a specific piece of property.
Many community-minded employers offer matching programs. Some employers will match the amount dollar-for-dollar that an employee gives to a charitable organization such as the Hedberg Public Library Foundation. Other companies may offer to contribute two or more times the amount given by an employee. Check with your company's human resources department to find out if matching funds is available.
