Screams, smoke, and the peculiar scent of singed bat filled Hedberg Public Library on Saturday, October 19 during the 15th annual mingle murder mystery, A Night at the Library: Creatures Ball, presented by the Hedberg Public Library Foundation.
Creatures from all over assembled in the Beastly Ballroom to mingle, dance, and witness the World Finals of the Danse Macabre Competition. However, the night took a deadly turn when a spotlight—fitted with a UV bulb—became a murderous weapon. After thorough investigation of the crime scene and suspects by attendees, as well as delicious bites and bevs among the books, the murderer was revealed.
