Event Details
Location: Woodruff Room and Lab 316
Four rounds (each player plays four games): 10:00, 11:30, 1:30, and 3:00.
There will be a Scholastic Section and an Open Section. The Scholastic Section is limited to K-12 students residing in Rock County. The Open Section is open to anyone residing in Rock County. Young entrants should be accompanied by an adult. Scholastics may choose to enter the Open Section if they wish.
Players have 30 minutes to complete the game. Players will be matched against others with similar scores in each round.
Chess boards will be provided. A limited number of chess clocks will be available. Bring a chess clock if you have one.
Trophies awarded to: Open Champion, Scholastic Champion, Top K-6 Scholastic, and Top Female.
Tournament Directors are Peter Webster (1984 State Champion) and Mark Lencho.
Registration is required. Space is limited to the first 50 entries. Deadline is Wednesday, October 23rd. Registration details can be found on the Janesville Chess Facebook Page.
