For the month of April, we are fortunate to have four separate exhibits throughout the library.
In the Fireplace Room, you can see the stunning photography of Linda Crowley. Her pieces capture the colors and beauty of Uganda where she travelled as a nurse working on a project with the Hope Institute of Uganda. Her photos of people and wildlife make you feel like you are there.
Along the River Wall, you will find scratch board art by Steve Robertson. He enjoys working with black and white media but fell in love with scratchboard in high school. His creations are a must-see with the detail he has achieved.

Camera Club and Woodcarvers Group Display Works
Our 360° Display Case hosts the Rock River Valley Woodcarvers exhibit this month. Their magnificent pieces will have you amazed. Members of this group love what they do and are very good at it. If you would like to learn more about the Woodcarvers group or watch them demo their skills in person, you will find them each month in the atrium of the library on the first Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
In April, we also are hosting the Janesville Camera Club’s annual exhibit. The club’s members photograph everything from wildlife to nature scenes to foreign cities and more. You can find their exhibit on the wire screens in the Tech Corridor and in the Woodruff display case.
Stop by HPL during regular hours to enjoy the beautiful variety of artistic styles and mediums decorating the library. Viewers are encouraged to leave written comments for the artists in the binder located in the Fireplace Room. Thank you to all these local artists for sharing their beautiful pieces with us.
