Reading Menagerie: Meet the Dragons

Calling all Dragon Masters ages 5 to 12! Join our Winter Reading Challenge and start building your magical dragon menagerie! For every 30 minutes of reading you'll earn an Earth, Water, or Fire Dragon egg card. Keep reading to evolve your egg into a baby dragon, a teen, and finally an adult dragon.

Starting Monday, January 6, pick up your Reading Tracker at the Children's Desk and start collecting cards. Readers earn ONE CARD for every 30 minutes tracked. 

Four new dragons will be introduced each month from January through May. Collect all evolutions of each dragon by May 24 to be listed on our Dragon Master Roll Call (that's a total of 120 minutes per week or 2,400 total minutes read. WOW!)

Once you've collected a few dragon cards, test your skills at a monthly tournament. Earth conquers Water; Water conquers Fire; Fire conquers Earth.

There are a total of 80 dragon cards to collect (20 different dragons/egg, baby, teen & adult version of each dragon).
