Presented by Patricia Skalka.

Join as we celebrate NaNoWriMo. This workshop encourages writers to think their plot through and shows them how to organize the action in a compelling flow that keeps the story moving forward. The better you know your story, the easier it will be to write it. Using the BeatLine approach to plot your novel will get you there. The BeatLine is a step-by-step, bulleted map of the story. The BeatLine lists every important event -- whether physical or emotional -- that occurs, creating a detailed trail that leads from the beginning of the story to the end. With a BeatLine, you never have to ask: What now? You will always know what's next.

An open writing time will be available following the program until 4:00 p.m.

Patricia Skalka is the award-winning author of the Dave Cubiak Door County mystery series.
