How To Get a Card

City of Janesville residents with a driver’s license or acceptable name and address identification may apply for a Hedberg Public Library card. For minors, a parent or guardian must be present to get a card. You need a library card for Internet access and can use it to pay for photocopies and computer printouts.

Other Rock County residents must visit their local public library to obtain a library card, which may be used at all participating ALS public libraries.

To obtain a card, fill out an application at the Service Desk or Checkout.

Take completed form to Checkout.

Cards are issued to children at the discretion of their parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must be present with the child to sign library card applications for children under the age 18.
Hedberg Public Library items may be returned at most other public libraries in the state.

A fee card is available to persons residing outside Wisconsin. The cost is $65 for 12 months and $25 for 3 months.

Please bring your library card with you to check out materials.

If you move or change your name, let us know. Report lost or stolen cards immediately. A $1 fee is charged to replace a lost or damaged card. There is no fee for a name or address update.
