The American Library Association announced the 2024 Youth Media Awards this week. Here are a few highlights:

Hedberg Public Library is introducing a new Healthy at Hedberg initiative, highlighting the ways your library promotes and supports wellness.

The Children’s Room is getting a mural!! Madison muralist and illustrator Emily Balsley has designed a garden-themed mural for one of our walls in the Picture Book Garden area of the Children’s Room.

The posting for the Director position closed on Sunday, January 14, and Bradbury Miller Associates reports that they received 16 applications.

In the fall of 2023, Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change (JM4C) announced it had received an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant from the Rock County Board of Supervisors.

Thank you to all the generous donors who chose an ornament from the 2023 Friends of Hedberg Public Library Giving Tree and donated that gift. 

Hedberg Public Library's Teen Central is launching a new reading program, 100 Books Before Graduation, for teens in grades 9-12.

A limited number of free annual memberships to the entire MasterClass platform is available to HPL cardholders thanks to a grant received by the Prairie Lakes Library System.

Hedberg Public Library is pleased to announce Ann Garvin, Ph.D., USA Today bestselling author, will serve as the keynote author at HPL Book Fest 2024 on Saturday, June 22.
